Taipei

Day 1: 271109

Woke up at about 10am, and showered, and did some last minute packing of my toothbrush/paste and facial wash. Waited at the void deck for my father's friend to come pick us up in his cab.

Dad and mom dancing, and my brother being a mad man.

Anyway, reached the airport at about 11, and met my mother's friend, Auntie Mary. We had lunch, but my prawn mee sucked, so I didn't finish it. Was supposed to fill myself up, because we're on a budget airline so there'll be no lunch provided and it's a 4.5h flight... but nevermind, I don't eat most of the time anyway. :B

Dad and bro sent us at about 1pm, and we checked in! :D

Waiting for the announcement when they'll tell us we can board the plane. I think my mom and her friend look like twins leh.
Anyway we were soon on the plane and we took off 8)

Puffy clouds!! :D
Anyway the food and drinks sold are damn expensive lor. $5 for chicken rice, $3 for coke and $3 for peanuts wtf. -____- Daylight robbery!!!

Read this on the plane and finished it like 1 hour later, so I took a nap. And woke up to see this:

Sunset while on the plane! It was a beautiful sight. :)

Reached Taipei at 6.20pm, and went to get our luggage. Mom's luggage was damaged along the way; the luggage lock was broken. Went to talk to the airport staff, and they promised free repair, so my mom have to bring the luggage back to our hotel, empty the contents, and leave it at the hotel lobby and the airport staff will come the next day to pick it up so they can repair it.

So. Problem solved! We took an express bus to YMCA Hotel (which I'd refer to as Y Hotel from now on), and it was a bloody 1.5h ride. -_- When we got off the bus, I almost died, it was freezing cold and my teeth were chattering and it was like, 16 degrees or something.

Settled down at our hotel, and left mom's luggage at the hotel lobby. I threw on my Zara sweater over my shirt and I look like a student -_-
And we took a train to Xi Men Ding! We bought the tickets, expecting a card to come out, but a coin came out and we were wondering if the machine malfunctioned or something but that was really the ticket.

When we reached Xi Men Ding, went to have dinner at Ah Zong Mian Xian, which is famous for its mee sua. I was skeptical at first, because I've tried the mee sua in Singapore before, and it sucked so bad. But oh my god this was really good!! :D

Anyway, after dinner, we went... shopping lah duh. HAHA. Saw this rly cute shop, with this rly cute portrait...

Mona Lisa cutetified! HAHA.
The earrings and rings were selling for damn cheap! 2 earrings for NT100 (roughly $4 for 2), a ring for NT100 (roughly $4) too. And the rings are very chio lor! I bought some hehe. And I saw this rabbit hairclip and I bought it too hehehehe.

The sausages are really THICK. I tried one, and it was orgasmic!!!! Very juicy and sweet. Hehe. :B
Headed back at around 10pm, and there was a stall selling fermented tofu (or famously known as chou tofu) opposite the hotel, and my mom wanted to try. It was damn smelly, seriously. -_-

And look at how they ferment the tofu:

They leave it by the roadside!!!! GROSS MUCH?! I told my mom she's going to die of food poisoning (but she didn't).

We went to this nearby convenience store and LOOK THEY STILL SELL KINDER SURPRISE:

:D:D:D:D:D

Went back to the hotel, and surveyed my loots!!

Such a cute bunny HAHAHAHHAA ok such a fail bunny. :(

The pink Mickey earrings are for Alicia! :B

The room's light. I like the design! It is very unique. I like. And so did my mom and Auntie Mary. :B

And that's the end of Day 1!!! :D

Currently, looking through my Girl Guides photos

And I am crying... now that I really think about it, I appreciate my time in Girl Guides. I've learned so much and it made settling into a new environment so much easier, because everyone in Girl Guides are lovely people, and we all consider ourselves sisters. :) There was just one tiny conflict between Alicia and me, but it's over, and I'm glad that we've put aside our differences and become the good friends that we are today. Granted, Girl Guides has closed down, and sisters have become strangers, from smiling and greeting each other every time we pass by each other to just ignoring each other, and we'll probably forget about each other by the time we graduate, but at least we've spent a part of our lives together and that is all that matters at the end of the day.

During Thinking Day.

An extremely old photo from when I was still a Secondary 1 student and the next one is from our promotion ceremony when I was promoted from member to Patrol Second.

All taken during promotion ceremony!

Two groups trying to win the, "Who can create the longest line" competition and using every thing we could find in the school, from our shoes and socks to hair bands to bracelets to watches to our track pants (if we're wearing shorts inside) to taking out newspaper from the dustbins to actually using the dustbins to using our own bodies.

Playing Captain's Ball and running around like mad girls on drugs.

We have to get from one door to the another door by standing on two chairs and balancing two buckets of water. Most difficult challenge ever! I don't think anybody ever made it to the other side w/o cheating.

Losers have to do a forfeit, which was poledancing. -_- I refuse to upload the videos but here's a picture of me dancing around Alicia (who was the pole) HAHA.

All the rush whenever there's an uniform check!! Have to help our juniors do their scarves as they're not confident enough or don't know how to do it properly yet, and there's a lot of other CCA groups in the toilet so we often have to adjust our uniforms in the play area. I swear everybody's hair was neatly tied up and socks were at our ankles and everything, it's just that in these pictures, we're still preparing!!

Sec 1 Promotion Ceremony! :D

When I was still a Secondary 1 student and an ahlian haha why last time my thighs so small now so big idiot.

:) A lot more pictures, but I'll stop here. I love Girl Guides, and I love how it has developed me into a person that knows how to pitch a tent, how to build a fire, how to do outdoor cooking, how to tie various knots, how to be responsible, how to be a good leader, how to be a good sister, and most of all, how to be a better person. ;)

I really hate it when I'm listening to my friend's play lists (like, we're sharing, using my friend's music player) and then I hear this song I really like, and I ask him/her for the song title, and they go, "Oh don't copy my songs!"

It's so fucking annoying. Like c'mon, you own this song or something? It's not like I'm copying your whole bloody play list; I'm just requesting for ONE song. Who the hell am I plagiarizing? You? Please! -_- There are probably billions of other people who have that song - so every single one of them are copying you as well??? Don't be a bloody uptight asshole!

Not to mention the fact that I am your friend and you're accusing me of copying me??? What the fuck is wrong with you? ._.

Worse still are people who glance at my play list and then glaringly stare at me and exclaim, "Hey, your play list has almost all the same songs as mine! COPY!"

....

Huh what?????

First of all, I've NEVER EVEN LOOK AT YOUR BLOODY PLAY LIST BEFORE AND HERE YOU ARE ACCUSING ME OF STEALING YOUR ENTIRE PLAY LIST? I'm no magician, you dweeb.

And secondly, I don't think my play list is the same as yours. I listen to almost all the genres in music, from jazz to blues to screamo to rock to pop to oldies to classical. I listen to Lily Allen, to Linkin Park, to Eyes Set to Kill, to Hall & Oates, to Regina Spektor, to Green Day, to Jason Mraz, to The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, to The Beatles... it's a whole jumble of genres. Unless you're the same as me, able to enjoy any type of music (except for techno), then it's plausible that our play lists are the same, but as far as I am concerned, most of the people I know = listen to a specific genre, only branching out to similar genres. So... your accusation is invalid.

(On an another note, I hate it when I tell people that I listen to most of the genres, and then these people tell me I don't take music seriously. I don't see the logic in that. I enjoy listening to most songs, and that means I don't take music seriously? Huh??? I don't get it!! Can someone please explain this to me?)

Anyway.....

Currently at Taoyuan International Airport. Flight's delayed to 8.20pm due to bad weather, so I'll only be arriving around 1am in Singapore. Shucks! :( My mom still said she wants to go eat at Popeyes when we arrive. -_- Still complain that she's fat. -_-

Speaking of fat, my mother's friend told me that I am very skinny, with slim legs and arms, but a very fat face. Said my cheeks are damn fat, and that I look like a hamster storing food in my cheeks. Not the first time I heard this comment -___- I don't think my face is THAT fat lor!!! :(:(:(

Ok, I got to go board the plane alr. Bye. :D
