RAINBOW CAKE = SUCCESS

Went to Dhoby Ghaut to meet Huishan. She's damn mean, made me wait for her for 1.5 hour because she was eating lunch with her classmates. :( I wandered around Plaza Sing alone.... :(

Heh anyway, went to Daiso to buy various items and then trained back to Tampines. Went to Pastamania to eat (I ate alone :<) and NTUC to buy the ingredients we lack for the rainbow cake... only managed to find 5 food colourings. :( But nevermind. As long as it's colourful haha.




Only 5 colours, then Huishan remembered that mixing these two particular colours (I forgot what they are haha) together forms purple, so...


Doesn't look like purple, but it is purple!


Placed tins (red and orange first, because I only have two tins) in oven, and while waiting for it to bake, I read 8 Days and Huishan studied. :p




THEN WHEN WE TOOK THE RED AND ORANGE OUT, IT WAS BURNT!!!
But the inside was still the original colour, so we just ignored the burnt exterior. HAHA. Then we proceeded to put yellow and green...


Compare burnt orange to unburnt yellow. HAHA.

Put in the rest of the colours, and we made icing!!! It was damn stiff, ended up sitting the floor so that we could muster all our strength to mix the icing. -_-


In the end, after 15 minutes of mixing and it still being very solid, I decided to pour in some milk (it was not in the list of ingredients) and it became soft and fluffy... I AM A GENIUS MWAHAHAHAHA.

Then we applied the icing! It wasn't enough though, but nevermind. BUT IT LOOKED DAMN GROSS.



Yeah, looks pretty bad.

But after we sliced it...

SOOOOOOOOOOOO PRETTY HEHEHEHE.





WOOHOO not that bad for a first attempt. 8)

Huishan left for home after that! I was very nice to escort her to the bus stop and to wait for the bus with her, although she always force me to go back home alone whenever I go to her house. :(

Anyway, she's coming to my house on Fri to make elephant shaped cookies (heh). :)
