Taipei

Day 1: 271109

Woke up at about 10am, and showered, and did some last minute packing of my toothbrush/paste and facial wash. Waited at the void deck for my father's friend to come pick us up in his cab.

Dad and mom dancing, and my brother being a mad man.

Anyway, reached the airport at about 11, and met my mother's friend, Auntie Mary. We had lunch, but my prawn mee sucked, so I didn't finish it. Was supposed to fill myself up, because we're on a budget airline so there'll be no lunch provided and it's a 4.5h flight... but nevermind, I don't eat most of the time anyway. :B

Dad and bro sent us at about 1pm, and we checked in! :D

Waiting for the announcement when they'll tell us we can board the plane. I think my mom and her friend look like twins leh.
Anyway we were soon on the plane and we took off 8)

Puffy clouds!! :D
Anyway the food and drinks sold are damn expensive lor. $5 for chicken rice, $3 for coke and $3 for peanuts wtf. -____- Daylight robbery!!!

Read this on the plane and finished it like 1 hour later, so I took a nap. And woke up to see this:

Sunset while on the plane! It was a beautiful sight. :)

Reached Taipei at 6.20pm, and went to get our luggage. Mom's luggage was damaged along the way; the luggage lock was broken. Went to talk to the airport staff, and they promised free repair, so my mom have to bring the luggage back to our hotel, empty the contents, and leave it at the hotel lobby and the airport staff will come the next day to pick it up so they can repair it.

So. Problem solved! We took an express bus to YMCA Hotel (which I'd refer to as Y Hotel from now on), and it was a bloody 1.5h ride. -_- When we got off the bus, I almost died, it was freezing cold and my teeth were chattering and it was like, 16 degrees or something.

Settled down at our hotel, and left mom's luggage at the hotel lobby. I threw on my Zara sweater over my shirt and I look like a student -_-
And we took a train to Xi Men Ding! We bought the tickets, expecting a card to come out, but a coin came out and we were wondering if the machine malfunctioned or something but that was really the ticket.

When we reached Xi Men Ding, went to have dinner at Ah Zong Mian Xian, which is famous for its mee sua. I was skeptical at first, because I've tried the mee sua in Singapore before, and it sucked so bad. But oh my god this was really good!! :D

Anyway, after dinner, we went... shopping lah duh. HAHA. Saw this rly cute shop, with this rly cute portrait...

Mona Lisa cutetified! HAHA.
The earrings and rings were selling for damn cheap! 2 earrings for NT100 (roughly $4 for 2), a ring for NT100 (roughly $4) too. And the rings are very chio lor! I bought some hehe. And I saw this rabbit hairclip and I bought it too hehehehe.

The sausages are really THICK. I tried one, and it was orgasmic!!!! Very juicy and sweet. Hehe. :B
Headed back at around 10pm, and there was a stall selling fermented tofu (or famously known as chou tofu) opposite the hotel, and my mom wanted to try. It was damn smelly, seriously. -_-

And look at how they ferment the tofu:

They leave it by the roadside!!!! GROSS MUCH?! I told my mom she's going to die of food poisoning (but she didn't).

We went to this nearby convenience store and LOOK THEY STILL SELL KINDER SURPRISE:

:D:D:D:D:D

Went back to the hotel, and surveyed my loots!!

Such a cute bunny HAHAHAHHAA ok such a fail bunny. :(

The pink Mickey earrings are for Alicia! :B

The room's light. I like the design! It is very unique. I like. And so did my mom and Auntie Mary. :B

And that's the end of Day 1!!! :D
